Most windshields are safe to drive for a time with minor damage, but there’s no telling how long the windshield's integrity will last. It is too late to repair when the point of impact is more significant than a dime and the crack is longer than 6 inches. From here, you will need to replace the whole windshield. A repair made as soon as possible can extend the life of the windshield and maintain the original manufacturer’s seal.
